Sandra N. (Sandy) Lockwood
Sandra N. (Sandy) Lockwood, CEO of EDvice, Inc., has over 30 years experience in the private career education field. Sandy is well known from coast to coast as a specialist in educational operations and management and has extensive expertise in regulatory and compliance matters. She is a respected consultant by schools as well as professionals who serve the educational sector.
An entrepreneur by nature, Sandy founded three schools in the South and merged them with a larger group of schools encompassing campuses in California, Florida, Georgia, New York and Washington, DC, where she became Senior Executive Vice President at the corporate level. She has been the Chief Executive Officer and an operating shareholder in another group with multiple campus locations and programs.
Sandy has been deeply involved with national accrediting activities for many years having served as Chair of the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) Board of Trustees as well as Chair of ACCET's Accrediting Commission. She has chaired over 150 evaluation review teams and represented ACCET before the National Advisory Committee. She is currently the Annual Conference Chair. Sandy has also served on the Board of Directors of the Travel Industry Association of Georgia as well as the Board of the Georgia Wildlife Association and is active in community affairs. She is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. Sandy has consulted for many educational institutions across the country. She is especially known for her work with accreditation matters, onsite institutional assessment visits and due diligence activities, operational management, regulatory expertise and problematic compliance issues.
